Deep Sea Snorkelling

Have you ever been wondering what it’s like to breath underwater?
Explore the well-reserved underwater world with beautiful coral reefs and diversed marine life in Lang Tengah and experience the crystal clear sea diving along with fishes and sharks. 

Night Snorkelling

Observe the marine creatures that only show themselves after dark, and if you are lucky, you will get to see the natural glow of bioluminescent plankton. Corals look even more magnificent at night. One more aspect of a night snorkel that is sure to please everyone is the magical phosphorescent plankton which light up the water in a churning swirl of glow as you swim by. It is sure to be an unforgettable experience, and is appropriate for all ages and levels.

Free Diving

Lang Tengah is an idyllic scuba diving paradise. Freediving is an entirely different way to experience the underwater world. You’ll dive deeper, stay underwater for longer duration, to feel as if you are a part of the ocean itself. Lang Tengah has excellent reefs with abundance of marine life, together they present a vast playground for divers to navigate. Keep an eye out for the turtles, colourful corals, groupers, bamboo sharks, shovel-nosed rays, nurse sharks, leopard sharks, butterflyfish, barramundi cods, rabbitfish, wrasses, fusiliers, snappers, and more.

Night Diving

Join us on a night adventure to explore the mysterious dark underwater world of our house reef. It comes alive at night, revealing creatures rarely or never seen during the day. A highly trained guide will accompany you and help you spot elusive creatures! Cuttlefish, stingrays and octopuses can be spotted and, if you are lucky, maybe even sea turtles and black tip reef sharks!

Blue Sand Hunting

There’s a beach in the Lang Tengah Island that looks like something from a fairy tale. It’s gorgeous, to say the least. Summer Bay’s friendly staff will bring you for a night stroll along the beach. At the right timing, you could spot the shiny dazzling blue sand and shooting star nearby the resort!

Rain Forest Hiking

An thrilling and adventurous experience. Explore the lush green forest around our resort and witness exotic flora such as Tongkat Ali. If you are up for some long walks in the jungle, you could go down the jungle trek to Batu Kuching as it is a great trail to capture the gorgeous sunrise or sunset from the rocks. Depending on where you stay on the island, travelling to Batu Kuching may take half an hour or more.

Via Ferrata

Hike up the hill via a “via ferrata” in Pulau Lang Tengah has become the latest attraction for extreme sports enthusiasts, truly a ‘Malaysia first’ with the emerald waters of the South China Sea as a scintillating backdrop. A via ferrata is a climbing route that employs steel cables, rungs or ladders, fixed to the rock. The climbers would affix a harness with two leashes, which allows the climbers to secure themselves to the metal fixture and prevent falling. The cable and other fixtures, such as iron rungs (stemples), pegs, carved steps, and ladders and bridges, provide both footings and handholds for the climbers.

Turtle Watch

Lang Tengah Turtle Watch is located on the southern sandy shores at Turtle Bay and was founded in 2013 by Hayati Mokhtar with the joint efforts of WWF conservation specialists and the Terengganu state government. Enjoy volunteering & swimming with turtles in Lang Tengah!

Canoeing

If you would like to go for an adventure and explore the island on your own, you can do that by renting a canoe. Take a closer look at the marine life you can’t see on the shore and enjoy the feeling of surrounded by the sea. The water is crystal clear and warm in Lang Tengah Island.

Sunset Observation

Do you want to have an eventful evening with the loved one during the golden hour? What about a romantic walk in the sunset? Summer Bay Resort as the perfect destination for you to find the most beautiful sunset view in Lang Tengah Island. Simply lay on the beach chair, or grab a table at Sunset Bar or lobby Café for the best viewing angle. Sunset is normally from 6.30pm onwards.

Lang Tengah Island is free from light pollution. In our sunset bar, you can spend the night by listening to live music, enjoying a special Lang Tengah’s cocktail and stargazing. Local Food

Our mouth-watering local dishes include Nasi Goreng Kampung (Malaysian Village Style Fried Rice), fresh coconut drink, Teh Tarik (Pull-and-Poured Milk Tea), keropok lekor (fried fish fritters), keropok (fish crackers) and a variety of traditional desserts, some with whimsical names. It’s a must do to “lepak” (hang out) in our resort Mamak Stall during the afternoon.

Pulau Lang Tengah is between Pulau Perhentian and Pulau Redang. Therefore, it is convenient to pay visit to both islands with boat. Our resort giving complimentary Island hopping -Snorkeling Trip at Lang Tengah, Redang and Perhentian Island if you book for 4D3N Snorkeling package and above.

NIGHT LIFE - LIVE BAND

A cozy Sunset Bar located at Summer Bay Lang Island Resort is the best hangout place for nightlife lovers. Fun, cute and good vocal live band is performing daily at the bar. It serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

Weather, climate and best time to visit

Lang Tengah Island

The best time to visit the island is between March and October, as by the end of October most of the resorts close for the monsoon season. The weather in Lang Tengah Island vary barely at all – considering humidity and temperatures, it feels hot all year with a very low chance of rain throughout the year. Lang Tengah has the tropical rainforest climate prevailing. If you’re looking for the warmest time to visit Lang Tengah Island, the hottest months are May, April, and then June. The highest average temperature in Lang Tengah is around 30°C in May and the lowest is 27°C in January.
