By Air

By Ferry

Another option is to take a ferry from Malaysia’s mainland to Pulau Langkawi. Ferries depart from several locations in Malaysia, including Kuala Kedah, Kuala Perlis, and Penang. The ferry ride usually takes about 1-2 hours, depending on the departure point.

By Road

You can either take a bus or drive down the North-South Expressway to the town of Kuala Kedah or Kuala Perlis, and then catch a ferry to Pulau Langkawi. There are several bus companies that offer this route, including Transnasional and Konsortium Bas Ekspres Semenanjung.
